Top 10 Favourite Book Series
My Top 10 Favourite Book Series
Wednesday 20th April 2016
This weeks top 10 is going to be my favourite book series. In no particular order. I hope you enjoy and have a wonderful day.
Let's get into it!
Let's get into it!
10. Anita Blake; Vampire Hunter
This is a new series I found a few weeks ago that I am rather enjoying. It's about a girl who is a vampire hunter well there is a lot of supernatural beings in this series including some zombies and wererats. It's a great series and I didn't realise just how many books there are, Laurell K. Hamilton has been a rather busy bee.
9. Divergent
Unless you've been living under a rock you have probably heard about the Divergent series. It started out as just a book series and is now being made into movies. I believe the third (and last) is going to be coming out this year. It's the world but after destruction, and to control everyone they have been divided into factions.
8. The Vampire Diaries
Ah yes, vampire diaries by L.J.Smith. As the title states it's about vampires and a few werewolves a little later on. My favourite thing is that it is not only one series it has lot's of kind of spin-off series and the story from earlier and from lots of different characters views.
7. The Infernal Devices
Cassandra Clare is a very dedicated writer. It starts with 'The Infernal Devices' with the most intense love triangle with Tessa, Will, and Jem. Then there is 'The Mortal Instruments' which is with the descendants Clary, and Jace. There is also quite a few spin-off series best around the same thing just a different story line. There is the 'Blackthorns', 'The Bane Chronicles' and a new series 'The Dark Artifices' starting with 'Lady Midnight'. They are all as impressive as each other, but The Infernal Devices is my favourite out of them all.
6. Diary Of A Wimpy Kid
This is what got me into reading. I already enjoyed reading but I wasn't in love with it until I read one of the Diary Of The Wimpy Kid books and that was it. What I loved first was the fact that it was a novel but with pictures and it was the perfect book for me at the time. Now I read books that are four times as long with no pictures but I do still enjoy going back to a good Diary Of A Wimpy Kid book for a bit of an afternoon read.
Not going to lie I did watch the movie first but I loved it and that's what got me into the books. I actually got the first four for my birthday one year and three days after my birthday I had them all read. They are a good read and I really enjoy all the mythology about the gods. The only downside to reading all the books one after the other is I know have no idea where one story ends and the other begins. Haha! Oh well.
4. Vampire Academy
You've probably heard about Vampire Academy, the books series has been out for a while now all six of them but the first movie has come out recently. I'll be honest I haven't read all of the books but the ones I have read I love. In case you didn't pick it up from the title it's about a school for vampires. There are three different kinds of vampires, the half-vampires which protect the full vampires that also have magical abilities. Then there are the bad vampires, which are stronger than the other two. It's a long and detailed.
3. Night World
My Mum brought all three of the Night World books home one day for me to read because one of my cousins suggested I read them and well, I love them. There are three books and three stories in each. All the stories are tied together by one thing or another. They are stories about supernatural beings vampires, werewolves, witches and more. They all involve true love in some way or another. There is a spark when the two meet and it's all fun and games from there on in.
2. Darke Academy
When I first picked up Darke Academy I thought it was going to be about vampires (I love vampires). But I was wrong, it does have adventure secrets and people going missing thought. I love it so much, it's actually my second favourite. There are four books in the series but because I have a weird thing with endings I refuse to read the last one of the series. I have read the other three about six times, it's all good.
1. The Raven Cycle
Not going to lie this one is my absolute favourite. It has friendship, mystery psychics and a whole lot of magic. It all starts with Blue with her eccentric clothes and leaves stuck to a wardrobe. Then Gansey with his journal that's seen better days and a bold orange Camero. Ronan is next with his Chainsaw and vivid dreams. Adam with a coca cola t-shirt and dirty hands. Last but not least Noah with his smudged face and barely there expression.
I could say more about the Raven Cycle but we would be here all day so I'll leave it at that.
Bye!!
