Top 10 Favourite Nail Polishes
My Top 10 Favourite Nail Polishes
Wednesday 10th August 2016
I was painting both my finger nails and toe nails on Sunday and while I was picking out colours I noticed just how many nail polishes I actually have. Personally, I have only brought about 5 or 6 of them and the rest were given to me as gifts or hand me downs(ish). Let's get into the list.
10. Bird Of Paradise, Carnivale.
I like this nail polish because you can put in on when you are in a hurry and not have to worry about getting it completely smooth, because when it is drug it has a bumpy texture which is rather nice when running your finger over your nail.
9. Queen Of Beauty, Sinful Colours.
This is a clear nail polish full of silver glitter. It's magnificent and goes with any colour or own it's own. I wear it a lot on my toes on top of another colour to dress my feet up a bit. It also catches your eye in the sunlight.
8. Blue Bird, N.Y.C. Colour.
My local woolies had a box full of nail polish for $2 for about a month I think it was and at first, I didn't think I needed any as at the time I had quite a few shades already. But the more times I went back and saw it there the impulse to buy one grew. By the time the month was up I had purchased four. Anywho, Blue Bird is one of the ones I got and it is a lovely sky blue colour. I like to wear it in the summer on my toes alternating with Glow Worm, for a beachy kind of vibe.
7. Flammable, Nails Inc.
I like bright colours and Flammable is a great bright orange. (I also realised that I have two of them). I really don't know what to say about it other than it's the only orange colour that I actually like.
6. Goblin, N.Y.C. Colour.
As I said I like bright colours and Goblin is a bright green colour. I've loved and used this colour so much that there is so little in the pot the brush only just touches it. I've worn this with Glow Worm, with Casper, with Blue Bird, on its own. It's just great.
5. Glow Worm, N.Y.C. Colours.
I mentioned that I like to wear Glow Worm alternating with Blue Bird and that's because it's a bright sunny yellow and it reminds me of the sand on a beach when coupled with the blue from Blue Bird. It's so bright and welcoming. I wear it in the summer in the winter on my fingernails to match my yellow handbag, or on my toenails, sometimes both at the same time.
4. Casper, N.Y.C. Colours.
As much as I like my bright colours I also like my shades (as you'll see with my pick for number one). Casper is a matte white nail polish. I have worn it so much that I'm not even sure there is any left in the pot. For a long time, it was my go to colour and the fact that it is such a neutral colour means you can alternate it with any and every colour (I would even if it didn't match).
3. Pride, Sinful Colours.
This is a clear nail polish much like Queen Of Beauty but it's full of little bits of confetti in different shapes and sizes and a rainbow full of colour. It's beautiful on top of any colour or on it's own.
2. GoGo Girl, Sinful Colours.
I couldn't decide between this red and my number one. As I wear both colours religiously. I like bright red shades like this one because they are bright, they stand out, you can match them with a nice bright red lip. Also my number one reason, it looks like blood.
1. Black Cab, Rimmel London.
I love black nail polish, you can wear it with anything and you can fancy it up but adding some glitter I like Queen Of Beauty for a bit of sparkling on just my ring fingers for a day to day thing. On New Year's Eve, I use Pride on all of my fingers over the black to make it look like fireworks in a night sky. It's just magical and I love it. Two New Years ago I wore my nails like this and I had a black lip that I covered with colourful glitter that complimented my nails perfectly (everyone else disagreed when I threw glitter at them).
