5 Ways With Porridge

Porridge. not a lot of people like the taste of porridge. The some that do generally like it to have some flavouring. In this blog post, I will be sharing with you five different ways to make your porridge better. 
When I make porridge I do it on the stove with skim milk because that is how I prefer it. But feel free to use any milk you like or even water.

5. Fruit & Nut
Really like fruit and nut chocolate and want a variety for breakfast? Well, now is your chance. Start with your bowl of porridge add some dried fruit, like sultanas or apricots, maybe raisins. Then your nuts, slivered almonds, roughly chopped peanuts or cashews. Then for the added decadence if you really want that authentic fruit and nut chocolate add a sprinkle of cocoa powder on top or when you're cooking your porridge. Yum. 

4. Savoury
Looking for a more savoury version of your favourite porridge? Try mixing in some cooked bacon pieces and serving with a poached or fried egg. Yum.

3. Berry
Serve your porridge with a handful of mixed berries. Strawberries, raspberries, blueberries.

2. Funny Honey
Sometimes just a simple drizzle of honey is all you need to make your porridge sweeter.

1. Banana & Cinnamon
What's a porridge post without my favourite way to have porridge?
I eat my porridge with half a sliced banana and cinnamon sugar. Delicious.
