2016
New Year, New You
Monday 4th January 2016
At the beginning of the year everyone says things like 'New year, New you' 'What are you changing this year?'
Everyone expects you to change something about yourself just because it is a new year. I don't believe that. I believe if you are going to change it doesn't have to be at the beginning of the year, it could be half way through the year.
Having said that you can have goals, you would like to accomplish during the year. Kind of like resolutions, I usually have about 6 and they are rather unrealistic. But this year I have two and they are easily in my reach. Your goals could be anything from losing 5 kilo's to gaining 5 kilo's. Getting your licence, asking that boy (or girl) out, telling your parent's, going to a new school or moving out. Anything and everything.
There is one other thing that I do do. Two years ago for a resolution, I decided to go a whole month without eating meat. Basically becoming a vegetarian. I chose to do it in February as it was the second month (and had the least amount of days) last year I did it as well, and I plan to do it again this year.
I don't eat a lot of meat as it is. It's not because I don't like it, I just prefer vegetable and pastries. So going a whole month isn't exactly that difficult for me. I really enjoy doing it. It's a bit of a body cleanser.
That's all I have to say today. I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and New Year and a very memorable 2015. I hope 2016 brings some fun, new and inspiring things. Have a fantastic year!!
Bye!!
