Book Reviews!!
So, a couple weeks ago I brought a couple books and I have read two and a half of them. Wooo!! I have decided to write a review on them.
The first one I read was the "PointlessBlog 2"! Its not exactly a novel or story but it still has writing in it, which mostly includes the directions on what activity is on the page. As the "PointlessBlog 2" is basically an activity book, filled with activities and questions to answer and things like that. I spent an afternoon going through and reading all the pages and writing the answers and things on some of the pages and all those kinds of things. Fun. Fun. Fun. That wasn't a very good explination.
I haven't seen the first on but I will be purchasing that soon!!
Another cool thing about this book is its an interactive one as well. There is an app you can download for your phone and see what Alfie has to say or do or how he does something you can see it by scanning certain pages with your phone. Whooo!!
Anywho, I give the 'PointlessBlog 2"
5 out of 11!!
Next up, "Life with a Sprinkle of Glitter"!!
When I first got this book I wasn't 100% sure what it was about, I knew a little bit but not a lot.
It's basically what the blurb says, an antique shop in book form. It's got 4 chapters, each with smaller secions inside the chapters. There is, 'Glitz, Create, Need to Knows, and All about Love.'
I actually loved reading this. I didn't have to worry about remembering what I was up to or what I had previously read or what had happened like in a novel. I just picked it up read a page or two or a section. Then I could pick it up again in a couple days and not have to worry about what I had previously read.
I showed my friend Kitty when I first got it and she said, "Oooh, its a book teaching you how to be a girl. I need it."
She isnt that far off, although its not all about girly things it does have a section about boys and dating. Which isnt exactly for boys tbut that doesnt mean they cant get some vital information out of that section.
My favour section though would defintely have to be "Create" I am a very creative person and I love making art and crafty things and painting and doing drawings. In the "Create" section the sub-headings are; "Setting up Home (which has come in handy as I have just moved out of home into a place with my weirdo), Prettifying your room, Crafts, and Anti-Baking".
Not only does it have excellent ideas for decorating your home but, if you are still living with your parents or are in a rental propertym there are some ideas for you too. There arent just tips but step-by-step instructions as well for a couple ideas. The Anti-Baking section is got recipes that doent include baking but are still edible and yummy!!
That was a long review. Oopsie.
I give 'Life with a Sprinkle of Glitter'
7 out of 11!!
I hope my reviews encourage you to purchase these lovely books. When I finish reading my other book I will review that too!!
