Audio Books

Audio Books

Monday 15th February 2016

So, Audiobooks.
Most book readers just stick to general books that they can read at their own pace. I was one of those readers. Until last week.

Last week I was killing some time before an appointment at the Library. I really wanted a book to read but I hadn't had much time lately to read. So I checked out the audiobooks. That is where I found the first book in the Sookie Stackhouse series 'Dead Until Dark'. I've watched the TV series based off of it 'True Blood' but I wanted to read the books one day. So I borrowed it and listened to it over the weekend.

I have to say, you can multi-task much better when you don't have to have your eyes on two different things. For instance, when I write blog post's I generally watch a couple youtube videos. But with an audiobook, it's like music you can be doing anything and still be multi-tasking. I'm a big fan of multi-tasking, I'm hardly ever just doing one thing at a time.
I listened to it while writing, playing Minecraft, prepping food, getting ready for bed and also in bed. I really enjoyed being able to lie in bed with my eyes closed and just listening to the story unfold. As I've seen the TV series I didn't really need to spend a lot of time picturing what all the characters looked like.

Having said all this, I will be going back to reading proper books (like the one Weirdo got me for Valentines Day yesterday) but I will still enjoy a good old audiobook every now and then.

I hope you enjoyed have a wonderful day and an eventful week.
Bye!!
