Pinch and a Punch for The First of The Month!!
Hello, starting today I am going to be cutting out meat for the entire month. That's 29 long days of just vegetables and meat alternatives. Basically, I am going vegetarian for the month of February.
Why am I doing this? Well, it all started two years ago I was thinking about my new year resolutions and as someone who doesn't eat a lot of meat, I thought about just giving it up for the month. So I choose February, partly because it has the least amount of days but mostly because it was close to the beginning of the year. I couldn't do it in January because it's the beginning of the year and so many other things are happening. All the other months are too far away and I would either get bored of the idea or just forget about it completely. So February it was!!
The first time I mostly lived off of cheese sandwiches and minestrone soup. By the end of the month, I was sick of the pasta and chunks of vegetables so I drained them out and just had the soup. It was much better.
I had another attempt last year but I was too distracted and failed on day two. I keep up for another 16 day's but it just wasn't happening. So here I am having another whack at it.
Now that I live out of my parent's house and do all the shopping I can try new recipes and make it much more interesting. I even bought a vegetarian cookbook for the occasion. The next few Saturday's are going to be filled with Vegetarian recipes that I have tried and tested. I am also looking forward to experimenting with Quinoa. I tried it once in a salad and I absolutely loved it.
So I will keep you updated during the month about all the fun things I experiment with this month. Also, Wednesday on my youtube channel I will be uploading My January Favourites video. Until next time have a wonderful day.
