Last Words!!
Last Words!
Saturday 5 September 2015
I read 'Looking For Alaska' not too long ago and it got me thinking about peoples last words. So I did some reasearch and found the last words of 20 famous people.
Anna Pavlova:
"Get my swan costume ready."
Pablo Picasso:
"Drink to me."
George V:
"Buggar Bognor."
Cecil Rhodes:
"So little done, so much to do."
Bing Crosby:
"That was a great game of golf, fellas."
Julius Caesar:
"Et tu Brute?"
Archimedes:
"Wait till I have finished my problem."
Oscar Wilde:
"Either that wallpaper goes or I do."
Charles ll:
"Let not poor Nelly starve."
PT Barnum:
"How were the receipts today at Madison Square Garden?"
WC Fields:
"On the whole, I'd rather be in Philadelphia."
Elizabeth l:
"All my possessions for a moment of time."
Lou Costello:
"That was the best ice cream soda I ever tasted."
Humphrey Bogart:
"I should never have switched from Scotch to Martinis."
Henry Vlll:
"All is lost. Monks, monks, monks!"
Noel Coward:
"Goodnight my darlings, I'll see you tomorrow."
Beethoven:
I shall hear in heaven."
Lady Nancy Astor:
"Am I dying or is this my birthday?"
Franklin D Roosevelt:
"I have a terrific headache."
Karl Marx:
"Last words are for fools who haven't said enough."
Everyone has their last words, some are written down and remembered throughout history. Some are lost in the moment.
