Makeup Routine!!

Makeup Routine!!

Monday 21 September 2015

Makeup, face paint. Face paint, makeup. They're both the same. They cover your face with some kind of powder or liquid or cream. With a steady hand and creative touch, you too can be transformed into anything look you desire.

Today I am going to tell you, my makeup routine.
I was going to write 'Daily Makeup Routine', but I don't wear makeup daily so that would be silly. Also some days I add something different or if I know I'll be wearing a certain colour, I'll change my eye shadow colour. Gosh, this could go on forever. Let me start again.

Today I am going to tell you, my makeup routine. First I'll tell you about the steps and what tips and tricks I do, (which isn't many). Then I'll list all the products I use to create said look. It's just a basic look I do when I feel like dressing my face up a bit. Here goes.

First I start with moisturiser, the one I use it a mixture of two different kinds. I like the smell of one and the other is creamy yet moisturising. They are ....

Next is my foundation. I use both liquid and powder. I'm very fair skinned so I use a light foundation, and when I apply it I only do a light coverage because I have freckles and personally I think I look a bit funny without them.

So I start with a light coverage of my liquid foundation if it's summer and the rest of me is a bit darker I use RIMMEL Stay Matte in the sahe 081 Fair Ivory mixed with the 103 in True Ivory, I have weird shaded skin. But at the moment we have just started Spring here and I'm rather white from winter, so I've been using a lighter one which is Colour in the shade Ivory. Using my fingers, I half massage, half smooth that onto my face.
After that I use the brand 'elf' concealer in the colour Ivory also, for under my eyes because they can be a bit purple, on the sides of my nose, it gets a bit red there and anywhere else I think I need it. Using, a little brush I blend that in.

After that, I use my powder concealer in Starlet pressed powder in the shade Natural Beige. I don't know why I have a different shade powder to liquid, but it works for me. I use that with a big fluffy brush and brush that all over my face smoothing out as I go.
When that's done I move on to bronzer and blush. The bronzer I use is a blush and bronzer in one but I use a blusher as well. It's BYS Bronze and Blusher. Using a smaller but still fluffy brush I brush it around the whole pallet then brush it lightly across my forehead, down my nose and along the bottom of my check bones. The blush I use is an old one I got as a gift and I use it so much the labels are coming off and I can no longer read the colour name. But I can tell you that it is the color workshop brand and has a sparkly tone to it. I just use that along the top of my cheek bone with a smaller brush.

Next up, eyes. Lately, I've been using a golden eye look. I like it and it's light so it's good for spring. I use 3 different shades one is gold with a sprinkle, one yellow and one lighter yellow with sprinkles. It's also a loved pallet I have in COLOUR by TBN. I use the gold on my eyelid, the yellow above that under my eyebrow and the sprinkly one in the crease and along the bottom of my eye just below the waterline.
Then I use nude eyeliner, it's a waterproof black one, with a pencil on one end and a little sponge on the other. I use that on the top of my eye along the eyelash line.
Then the mascara is also by 'nude' and in black which I use on my top and bottom lashes, after using an eyelash curler I got at the local K-mart.

And last but not least, lips.
I use a rose coloured lip liner before adding my lipstick. Most days I use a red lipstick or sometimes a light pink one not much brighter than my lips. Unfortunately, I don't know what the names are but they are also by the color workshop.

And that's my face done. Later on, I might do my makeup routine for a night out or special occasion. But, we'll see.
I hope you enjoyed this post and have a great week!!
