Dear Diary, Love Gabby xx

(It's still a working title. If you have any suggestions, let me know!!)

Dear Diary,

Today is Wednesday, the middle of the week, the halfway mark. You know what?? I'm actually looking forward to school today. Wanna know why?? Because it's a half day. I have three lessons, (double English and a single Art) then I am heading to Java Jam's for a latte and meeting up with my bestie Ella and we're going out for lunch. I can't wait!!

So, I'm currently in Java Jam's waiting for Ella, drinking my caramel mocha latte with double whipped cream. When who should walk in?? But my new neighbour/new girl at school, (I really should learn her name). I watched her from my booth by the windows. She ordered then stood looking around the room. When she spotted me she smiled, oh god, I think she is coming this way. Help!

Well, that was....interesting. Bailey, she informed me her name was. Asked if she could join me. I didn't really know what to say so, I nodded. She smiles with her whole face. It's so bright and cheerful. And kind of contagious. The conversation when as follows...

"Your name is Gabriella isn't it?" She asked.
"Gabby for short." I replied nodding. She smiled brighter if that was possible.
"I'm Bailey. You are probably thinking that's a boys name. It is, and I tell my parents that all the time. But they were expecting a boy then I came along instead so they just went with it.
"It's a nice name." I muttered. She grinned. There was a moment of silence, when.
"I live across from your house. I saw you when we moved in. You were in your
pajamas and ducked behind the fence when you seen me look. Why was that?"
"Well.." I started she looked at me waiting, expectant. I was about to say something when the waitress called her name out with her finished order.
"Sorry, I have to go. But I really enjoyed talking to you. Would you like to catch up sometime?"
"Sure." I blurted out smiling.
"Great." She smiled at me again showing her teeth and got up. She got her order from the counter, waved to me and left.
As she walked out the door in walked Ella.
"Why do you look so flushed?" She asked.
I just hit my head on the table.

Lunch with Ella was good. We had a nice old chat about all things life and the
things you would expect girls to talk about. And of course, Ella brought up Bailey. And of course, I changed the subject as quickly as I could.

I'm currently sitting on my window seat in my room while I write and the sky looks amazing outside. The moon is so bright you can see almost everything. Just like that blue mini pulling up across the road with no lights on. Hang on is that Bailey climbing out? It is! I wonder why she's driving without headlights on. Oh god. I think she saw me before I ducked behind the curtain.

Well, that was weird. I was just about to get into bed when my laptop beeped. I got an instant message. It was from Bailey. All it said was;
'Don't tell.'
Don't tell what? That I saw her sneaking around her own house at night and driving without headlights on sure. I won't tell.

 Love G xx
