Adventure Saturday
Adelaide Adventure!!
19 Sleeps To Go!!
Saturday 5th December 2015
On Wednesday Weirdo, Kitty and Kitty's Man (we'll call him Jesus) and I headed off at 9 am for a 3-hour drive, with one stop along the way. Wanna know where we're headed?
To Adelaide!!
That's probably not that exciting to people who live in Adelaide or in a big city but for me someone who lives in a country kind of town and playing in the bush. It is rather exciting for me because I love tall buildings and all the bunched up buildings and basically Adelaide is my mini version of New York where I would love to go to one day.
On the way as it was the 2nd of December we listened to Christmas music and ate homemade cookies that Kitty and I made the night before. They were nice and soft and yummy.
When we got to Adelaide we parked in a car park thingy and walked to Rundel Mall which was just down the road. Rundel Mall is basically a street in Adelaide that was closed off from cars years ago and has sooo many shops and some of the larger shops have smaller shops. There is also several food courts with lots of different kinds of food. When we arrived it was about lunch time so we started with some lunch and had some subway and Kitty had a yiro's. Then we did some shopping and Kitty and Jesus had a bit of a freak out because they found a shop called Zing. Where you buy pop's and basically all things merchandise for TV series and things like that.
I didn't explain that very well. I should have taken a picture, but I was also caught up in the moment.
But even with all of that excitement that is not what I was looking forward too. Or the main reason we went to Adelaide in the first place.
We walked down a side street onto North Terrace crossed the road and guess where we were??
In front of the museum and Library!!!!
I have been wanting to go to the Library in Adelaide for so song and I was just so excited and it was just magical and just amazing. I did take one picture of one of the aisles because there were a lot of aisles and they were so long and I actually lost Weirdo for a bit.
We went to the Museum as well and that was good. Kitty and I had been before when we were in Primary School, but we couldn't remember much.
They have the giant squid and we went to the top floor by the stairs then went back down using the elevator. That was fun also. While we were there, they had a T-rex that you could donate $2 and hear it roar and as I was getting out my $2 a couple other people had gathered around and when I put the money in, it roared and it scared the people that had gathered and it was totally worth it. So glad I did that haha.
After that, we headed off home again. When we were leaving Adelaide we drove down a road that was just magical and amazing. It had tree's lining the sides that were so big they have grown and made a cover over the road and it's just great.
We stopped at Port Wakefield and got some tea. We had a pulled pork and gravy roll with some hot chips and a drink. Then we were back in the car and headed for the last hour or more before we arrived back home.
